HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2120-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2120 A RESOLUTION OF TI-~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ?~HEREBY SAID CITY COUNCIL DECLARES ITS INTENTION TO ~Ai~E CHAN~,~ES Ah~D MODIFICATIONS IN THE BOUNDARY OF THE ~IS£RICT BENEFITTED BY THE CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF A SANITARY S~ER SYSTEM WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has heretofore, by resolution, defined the area of a special assessment district which, according to the findings and determination of said City Council, would be particularly benefitted by the construction and installation of a Drop~?sed~ s.ant~tary. ~sewe~r. ~sys~tem,~a~.d did,, by_its Resolution of Intention No. 2084, passe~ anm amop~em on ~ne oo~n may ox~ August, 1~154, determine that said special assessment district shall bear the entire cost and expense of the work and improvements in connection with the construction and installation of said proposed sanitary $~wer system; and W~EREAS it now aopears to said City Council that a certain portion of said area comprising said special assessment district, as so defined, will not benefit substantially from said work and improvements, and that, on the contrary, certain additional area, not heretofore included within said special assessment district, as so defined, will bene fit substanti a Lly f rom s aid work and improvements, NOW, THF~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that the public interests, convenience, and necessity require, and it is the intention of said City $ouncil to make, certain changes and modifications in the proceedings had pursuant to said Resolution of Intention Nc. 2084, as follows: 1. That the following described real property be exluded from the said special assessment district as too rec~ivlng any substantial benefits therefrom: All that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, particularly described as follows: BEOINNING at the intersection of the easterly line of Bayshore Freeway with the northeasterly line of South Bayshore High~ay ~now known as Airport Boulevard) as shown on the Official Map of the City of South San Francis co dated March, 198~; thence East 220 feet; thence South $~' Z0' East l~0 feet, more or less, to the northwesterly bank of a slough;thence southwesterly along said northwesterly bank ~00 feet, more or less, to the said northeasterly line of Airport Boulevard; thence along said northeasterly line North 2~' 27' West 1~80 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. 2. That the following described real property be included within said special assessment district as being particularly and substantially benefitted by said work and improve ments: All that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Nateo, State of California, particularly described as follows: PA/tCEL I: The westerly portion of Parcel V6, Zone "I'" as shown on the Official Map of the $ity of .South San Francisco dated March, 1953, more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the northwesterly corner of said Parcel 76; thence along the northerly boundary of said Parcel 76 North 55° East 530 feet, North 84° East 130 feet, South 57° East 620 feet and South 23° 20' West 139.86 feet; thence southwesterly along the bank of a slough 450 feet, more or less, to the southerly boundary of said Parcel 76; thence along the southerly and westerly boundary of said Parcel 76, South 80° 57' West 520 feet, more or less, and North 25° 27' West 600 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. PARCEL II: BEGIN~<ING at a point on the southerly line of Parcel 77, Zone "I", as shown upon ths Official Map of the City of South San Francisco dated March, 1~53, which point is 800 feet northeasterly at right angles from the northeasterly line of South Bays?.o~e Highway fnow known as Airport Boulevard); thence North 25° 27' West 870 feet more or less, to the northerly line of said Parcel 77; thence along ~a~d northerly line North 80° 57' East 560 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said northerly line, and North 62° 08' 30" East 130 feet; thence south- easterly .~50 feet, more or less, to a point on the southerly line of Parcel 78, Zone "I" as shown on said map, which point bears East 450 feet from the southwesterly ~orner of said Parcel 78; thence West along the southerly liue of said Parcels 78 and 77 450 feet, more or less, tO.J~the point of beginning. 3. That the area of the special assessment district which shall bear the expense of the work and improvements, after making the exclusion and inclusion, as above provided for, is hereby determined to be as follows: All that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, particularly described as follows: BEGIN_~iING at the southeasterly corner of the Round ~alifornta Chain Company property which is Parcel n3, Zone J: as shown on the Official Map of the City of South San Francisco dated M~rch, 1953; thence along the southerly line of said Parcel 43., South 74u 48~ ll" West 647.52 feet; thence North 78° 21' West 600 feet, more or less, to the westerly line of San Bruno Road; thence northerly along said westerly line of San Bruno Road 1~50 feet, more or l~ess, to the southeasterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way; thence along said southeasterly line North 32° 56' 40" East 300 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the southeasterly line of the South San Francisco ~elt Railway right-of-way, as shown on said Official M~ of the City of South San Francisco; thence, along the southeasterly and southerly lines of said South San Francisco Belt Railway's right-of-way, northeasterly along a curve to the rigl~ with a radius of 574.19 feet, a distance of 520 feet, more or less, and North 89° 55' 28" East 380 feet, more or less, to the easterly line of Bayshore Freeway as shown on said Official Map; thence along said easterly line of Bayshore Freeway South 6° 19' 32" East 396.39 feet, southeasterly along a curve to the left tangent to the preceding course, an arc distance of 45.02 feet, South 57° 54' 32" East 296.57 feet, South 31° 30' 40" West 25.13 feet and South 0° 00' 30"East 1230 feet, more or less, to the northeasterly line of South Bayshore Highway ~now known as Airport Boulevard) as shown on said map; thence along said northeasterly line of Airport Boulevard South 25° 27' East 1610 feet, more or less, to a point in the Southwesterly pro- longation of the northwesterly line of Parcel 76, Zone I, as shown on said map; thence along said prolongation and the northwesterly and northeasterly boundary of said Parcel 76 North 55° east 5~0 feet. North 84° East 130 feet, South 57° East 620 feet and South 23° 20' Wes% 139.86 feet, more or less, to the northwesterly line of a slough; thence south- westerly along said northwesterly line of th2 slough ~50 feet, more or less, to the southerly line o£ said Parcel 76; thence along said southerly line and its prolongation westerly South 80° 57, West 520 feet, more or less, to the easterly line of Airport Boulevard; thence along said easterly line ~outh 25° 27' East 500 feet, more or less, to the south- easterly line of a slough; thence northeasterly along said southeasterly line of the slough 640 feet, more or less, to the northerly line of Parcel 77, Zone !, as shown on said 0ffic~al Map of the City of South San Francisco; thence along said northerly line North 80° 57' East 810 feet, more or less, and North 82° 08' 30" East 130 feet; thence south- easterly 950 feet, more or less, to a ooint on the southerly line of Parcel 78, Zone I, as shown on said map , w~'Lich point bears East ~50 feet from the southwesterly corner of said Parcel 78; thence West along. ~ the southerly line of said Parcels 78 and 77 1290 feet, more or less, to the easterly line of Airport Boulevard; thence westerly across Airport Boulevard 140 feet, more ~r less, to the southeasterly corner of Parcel 75, Zone J, as shown on sai~_~ Official M~P of the City of South San Francisco; thence westerly, along the southerly line of Parcel 75 and its prolong- ation westerly, ll~0 feet, more or less, to the easterly line of Bayshore Freeway; thence northerly along the easterly line of Bayshore Freeway 2S00 feet, more or less, to the northwesterly corner of Parcel 74, Zone J, as shorn on said Official Map; thence northwesterly across Bayshore Freeway 230 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. o9 BE IT FURTHER ItESOLVED that notice be, and the same hereby is, given that Tuesday, the ~2nd day of Narch, 1958 at the hour of ~:30 o'clock P.M. in the regular meeting place of this City Council, City Ha!l, South San Francisco, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place Ca) wb~n and where said City Council will consider the matter of making said changes and modifications with respect to the boundaries and area of the speci~al assessment district which will be benefited by said proposed sanitary sewer system, and {b) when and where all protests will be entertained and interested persons may be heard. The City Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this resoluticn to be published once, said publication to be at least ten ¢10) days prior to said day of hearing. FUrther, said City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice to all property owners in the district by mailing to said property owners a copy of tl~is resolution. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of 3outh San Francisco held on the 7th day of ~.~arch, 1955, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, Francia Lucchio, Emilio Oortesi, Richard Gamlen, and Telford Smith NOES, " None ABSENT, " None ATTEST: ARTHUR A RODONDI, CITY CLERK
