HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2128-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2128 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGR}~ENT BET%~EEN SAID CITY AND T HE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO BOYS' CLUB, A PRIVATE CORPORATION, ~ITH RESPECT TO THE USE OF THE SPRUCE AVENUE SCHOOL GYMNASIUM AND REC[~EATIONAL FAC ILIT IES. WHEREAS South San Francisco Boys' Club, a private corporation, desires to make use of the gymnasium and recreational facilities of the Spruce Avenue School, which, although owned and con~rolled by the South San Francisco Unified School District, a public body, are made available for use by City and by such groups an~ o~ganizatlons as City shall authorize; and WIPEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interests of City and of the citizenry thereof and the members of said Boys~,~ Club, in particular, that they be permitted to make use of such gymnasium and recreational facilities, 668 NOW, THEREF(RE, BE IT i~ESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said South San Francisco Boys' Club, be, andit hereby is, authorized to use said gymnasium and recreational facilities of said Spruce Avenue School subject to there being executed between said City and said 2outh San Francisco Boys' Club, a proper agreement with respect to said use, said agreement to ~e prepared and submitted by the City Attorney. BE IT m,~JRTHER RESOLVED tb~t the Mayor of said City be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute said agreement on behalf Of said City, and theCity Clerk of said City is hereby directed to attest thereto and affix thereto the coporate seal of aatd City. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular adjourned meeting held on the 2$th day of March, 1955, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen: Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen and Telford Smith.
