HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2136-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2136 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO A~ENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1982, ADOPTED ON THE 10TH DAY OF MARCH, 1954 BE IT RESOLVED by.the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Resolution No. 1982, adopted March 10, 1954, and entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DETERMINING THE NECESSITY OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN INDUSTRIAL SANITARY SEWERAGE SYSTEM AND INDUSTRIAL SEWAGE PUl/PING STATIONS INfo. THE INDUSTRIAL AREA OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO BOUNDED ON THE WEST AND SOUTHWEST BY BAYSHORE FREEWAY, ON THE NORTH AND EAST BY THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AND ON THE SOUTH BY A LINE APPROXIMATELY EIGHT HUNDRED (800) FEET SOUTH OF COLMA CREEK AND RUNNING, GENERALLY SPEAKING, PARALLELS'THERETO AND EXTENDING FROM BAYSHORE FREEWAY TO THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY", is amended so that said resolution, as amended, shall read as follows: "WHEREAS H. D. Chope, the Director of Public Health and Welfare of the County of San Mateo, who performs the duties of Health Officer of said County and City of South San Francisco, has recommended, in writing, the construction of an industrial sanitary sewerage system and industrial sewage pumping stations in the industrial area of South San Francisco lying, generally speaking, east of Bayshore Freeway and extending to the San Francisco Bay on the north and east, and to a line.running generally parallel to Colma Creek and being south thereof approximately eight hundred (800) feet," "NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council does hereby find and determine that the construction of said industrial sanitary sewerage system and industrial sewage pumping stat&ns in the industrial area above referred to is necessary as a health measure; that proceedings under the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 and the Refunding Assessment Act of 1935 are necessary in order to install said sewerage system and sewage pumping stations." "The City Council does hereby further find and determine that there are no other adequate ways of financing the above stated improvements other than by assessing the property owners to be benefited thereby." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said City Council that this resolution shall be entered nunc pro tunc as of the 10th day of March, 1954. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopte~ by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 18th day of April, 1955, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen and Telford Smith.
