HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2144-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2144 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC ACTUATING DEVICES AT THE INTERSECTION OF AIRPORT BOULEVARD AND GRAND AVENUEIN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. WHEREAS, by and with the prior consent and authority of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, the Director of Public Works of said City did, on the 20th day of April, 1955, at the hour of 3:00 o'clock P.M., duly open, examine, and declare all sealedi~proposals for the installation of traffic actuating devices at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Grand Avenue in the City of South San Francisco, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore approved and adopted by said City Council, and which are now on file with the Clerk of said City, together witht~ furnishing of all necessary materials and labor in connection with said work of improvement; and WHEREAS said Director of Public ~o~ks has reported t~~O~o~,~(~_P~_ELECTRI COMPANY, /~a~ ¢or~oration, in the total amount of FOUR":~THOUSAND ~E~ffI~D B~$'T~REE o~ DOLLARS ~~.~b) IS THE LOWEST AND BEST BID SUBRITTED FOR THE PERFORRACE OF SAID WORK AND has recommended to said City Council the acceptance thereof; and WHEREAS said City Council has examined all said bids and found the report of said Director of Public Works to be true and correct, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that the report and recommend- ations of the Director of Public Works be accepted; that all said bids, except that next hereinafter mentioned, be, and the same hereby are, rejected; and that said City Council does hereby award the contract for said work to said COOPMAN ELECTRIC COMPANY, a corporation at the price named in its bid. The Director of Public Works and the City Clerk are hereby instructed to execute, behalf of said City, the contract for the performance of said work by said successful bidder I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 2nd day of May, 1955, by the following vote; AYES: COUNCILMEN NOES: No ne ABSENT: None.
