HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2159-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2159 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT. WHEREAS the real property hereinafter described was, on the 20th day of July, 1954, acquired by the SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, a public body, the same to be used for school purposes; and WHEREAS, as of the 1st day of March, 1955, municipal real property taxes in the amount of Twenty-Three and 12/100ths Dollars ($23.12) became a lien upon said property; and WHEREAS such property being used for school purposes is exempt from taxation by the City of South San Francisco, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the real property taxes levied for the fiscal year 1954-1955, together with any and all penalties and costs, upon the hereinafter described real property, and all taxes to be levied in all subsequent years, by said City, be, and the same hereby are, cancelled. Said real property is situated in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and is particularly described as follows: Lots 11 and 12, Block 10, Sunshine Gardens No. 2, filed in Volume 36 of Maps at pages 28 and 29, in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the aforedescribed real property be, and it hereby is, ordered removed from the City tax rolls. BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City be, and he hereby is, instructed to deliver a certified copy of this resolution to the Tax Collector of said City. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 6th day of June, 1955, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Telford Smith, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen NOES: " None ABSENT: " None ATTEST: Arthur A.
