HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2179-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2179 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO'S DRILL TOWER BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF BRISBANE AND SAN BRUNO. WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco owns and maintains a drill tower for the purpose of training personnel for fire fighting; and and WHEREAS the Brisbane Fire District and the City of San Bruno do not own comparable equipment WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco desires to cooperate with the Fire Departments of Brisbane Fire District and the City of San. Bruno in order that said Fire Departments may make use of said facilities, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Fire Departments of the City of San Bruno and the Brisbane Fire District be, and they hereby are, authorized to Use the drill tower of the City of South San Francisco at such times when said use will not interfere with the use of said drill tower by the Fire Department of the City of South San Francis¢ and its personnel, provided that permission is first obtained from the Fire Chief, or his duly authorized representative, of the Fire Department of theCity of South San Francisco, and further provided that said Fire Departments shall have first executed a proper document holding the City of South San Francisco safe and harmless from any and all damage to persons or property caused by the use of said drill tower, and still further provided that said cities execute a proper document guaranteeing payment to the City of South San Francisco for any and all damage to persons or property caused by said Fire Departments, respectively, in the use of said drill tower. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 1st day of August, 1955, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen NOES, ABSENT, " Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen, Telford Smith.
