A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
DETERMINING TO UNDERT~E PROCEEDINGS TO CONSTRUCT A SANITARY SEWERAGE
SYSTEM AND TO PROVIDE THAT COSTS SHALL BE ASSESSED UPON THE DISTRICT
BENEFITED UNDER APPROPRIATE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOND ACTS
WITHOUT PROCEEDINGS UNDER DIVISION 4 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE.
RESOLYED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Health and Welfare of the County of San Mateo, who performs
the duties of Health Officer of said County and the City of South San Francisco, has recommended to
this Council as necessary as a health measure, which recommendation was given in writing and signed b~
him, that it take appropriate special assessment and assessment bond proceedings for the constructio~
of a sanitary sewerage system in said City, as more particularly described therein;
WHEREAS, said letter was spread on the minutes of the meeting of ~e Council held on August
30, 1954, at which the Council did, by the aye vote of all of the members of the Council, adopt its
Resolution No. 2049 determining that said work was necessary as a health measure and it was its
intention thereby 'to determine that the proceedings therefor were necessary as a health measure;
WHEREAS, it was the intention of theCouncil to, and it did, undertake proceedings pursuant
to special assessment and assessment bon acts for the acquisition, construction and financing of
said sanitary sewerage system, and to levy and collect assessments and to issue bonds upon the unpaid
assessments therefor;
WHEREAS, it was, and is, the intention of this Council to make the costs and expenses of
said acquisitions and improvements chargeable upon an assessment district which district said Council
declares to be the district benefited by said improvements and to be assessed to pay the costs and
expenses thereof, the exterior boundary of which is described in the letter;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that Resolution No. 2049 is amended
nunc pro tunc as of August 30, 1954 by striking "is" in the second paragraph and inserting in its
place '~and the special assessment and assessment bond proceedings so proposed to be undertaken by
this Council therefor are .... "
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 1st day of August,
1955, by the following vote:
