HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2220-1955 t~;~OLUTION NO. 2220 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO A}VARDING CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A STORM DRAIN ON EVERGREEN A~ENUE FROM BAYWOOD AVENUE TO COLMA CREEK AND THE INSTALLATION OF A STORM DRAIN ON FORESTVIEW AVENUE FROM GRAND AVENUE TO THE EXISTING DITCH ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MISSION ROAD. WHEREAS, by and with the prior consent and authority of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, the Director of Public Works of said City did, on the 30th day of August, 1955, at the hour of 3:00 o'clock P.M., duly open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals for the installation of a storm drain on Evergreen Avenue from Baywood Avenue to Colma Creek and the installation of a storm drain on Forestview Avenue from Grand Avenue to the existing ditch on the south side of Mission Road, in accordance wi'th the plans and specifications'here- tofore approved and adopted by said City Council, and which are now on file with the Clerk of said City, together with the furnishing of all necessary materials and labor in connection with said work of improvement; and WHEREAS, said Director of Public Works has reported that the bid of ASSOCIATED PIPE COiiPA] in the total amount of FORTY-TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-TWO DOLLARS ($42,492.00) is the lowest and best bid submitted for the performance of said work and has recommended to said Citl Council the acceptance thereof, and WHEREAS, said City Council has examined all said bids and found the report of said Director of Public Works to be true and correct, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that the report and recommendations of the Director of Public Works be accepted; that all said bids, except that next hereinafter mentioned, be, and the same hereby are, rejected; and that said City Council does hereby award the contract for said work to ASSOCIATE PIPE LINE COMPANY at the price named in its bid. The Director of Public Works and the City Clerk are hereby instructed to execute, on behalf of the said City, the contract for the performance of said work by said successful bidd I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 6th day of September, 1955, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN: Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Telford Smith NOES, " None ABSENT, " Richard Gamlen ATTEST: ~y~'elerk/
