A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO LAND AND IMPROVEMENT COMPANY WHICH IS USED BY SAID CITY
FOR THE PURPOSES OF A GARBAGE DUMP.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco on the 15th day of January,
1951, adopted and passed Resolution No. 1624, which resolution authorized the execution of an
agreement between said City and the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company for purpose:
of using the hereinafter described land owned by said South San Francisco Land and Improvement
Company for a garbage dump; and
WHEREAS Paragraph 5 of said Resolution provided that:
"During the continuance of such agreement, said land shall not be taxed for
any purpose by said city. Said city shall pay all taxes and assessments
which may be levied against'said land during the continuance of such
agreement."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that the hereinafter described real property shall not be assessed or taxed by said City
during such time as such land shall be utilized pursuant to the terms of Resolution No. 1624
of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco. Said land is all that certain land
situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears South 86° 38' 07" East 45.00 feet from survey
line Station "A" 10400, as said survey line is described in Parcel One of that
certain Deed dated December 8, 1928 in Volume 384 of Official Records of San
Mateo County at Page 289; thence along an arc of a curve to the left with a
radius of 555.26 feet, a distance of 169.23 feet (the radial line of the curve
at the point of beginning bears ~ 86° 38' 07" West); thence South 84° 0~' 30"
West 60.02 feet; thence South 42v 26' West 199.16 feet; thence South 53v 52' 30"
West 192.29 feet; thence South 86° 58' West 200.38 feet; thence South 27° 12'
30" West 200.46 feet; thence South 4° 33' 30" West 135.72 feet; thence South 500
30' East 390.77 feet; thence North 27° 31' East 198.48 feet; thence North 44° 09'
30" East 160.82 feet; thence North 18° 50' East 122 feet; thence North 47° 15'
East 170 feet; thence North 16° 28' East 182.87 feet; thence North 86° 38' 07"
West 51.37 feet to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk, as the ex-officio Assessor of the City of
South San Francisco, be, and he hereby is, instructed to refrain from assessing, for taxation
purposes all said land during such time it is utilized pursuant to the terms of said Resolution
N~. 1624, and, likewise, the City Tax Collector is hereby instructed to refrain from collecting,
with respect to said property during said time, any taxes or assessments.
BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City be, and he hereby is, instructed to
deliver a certified copy of this Resolution to the Tax Collector of said City.
i hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 19th day
of September, ~55, by the following vote:
AYES, Councilmen: Andrew Rocca~ Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen, Telford Smith.
