HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2254-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2254 A.,RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 2237. WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 6th day of October, 1955, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and improvement, and for the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the doing of said work and improvement, in said City, described in Resolution of Intention No. 2237 of the City Council of said City, adopted on the 19th day of September, 1955, which Resolution of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for a description of said work and improvement and for all parti- culars relative to the proceedings under said Resolution of Intention; and WHEREAS said City Council did, in open session, on the 10th day of October, 1955, examine the written report of said City Engineer containing all of the sealed proposals or bids for the herein- hfter mentioned work and improvements; and WHEREAS all of the bids greatly exceed the estimate of the Engineer of Works, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that said City Council hereby rejects all of said pro- posals or bids. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco held on the lOth day of October, 1955, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen: Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen.
