HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2267-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2267 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AWARDING CONTRACT. RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of South San Francisco, California t. hat WHEREAS the City Engineer did, on the 7th day of October, 1955, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed bids and proposals for the work to be done and improvement to be made, as des- cribed and specified in Resolution of Intention No. 2207, adopted by said City Council on the 29~h day of ~uguStl 1955, to which resolution reference is hereby made for a description of the work and improvements to be done and the materials, supplies,and equipment to be furnished therefore; and WHEREAS said City Council did, in open session, on the 10th day of October 1955, examine the written report of the City Engineer pertaining to the sealed proposals or bids for the hereinabove mentioned work and improvements, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED as follows: 1. That said City Council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids for the performance of the work of constructing the bridge in Mayfair Avenue Extension and the providing of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for such work, except that hereiaafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing the work and improvements and furnishing the materials, supplies, and. equip- ment necessary therefor, to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: OSCAR C. HOLMES, at the unit prices named in his bid. 2. That the Mayor of said City is hereby authorized to make and enter into a written contract with said successful bidder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the Clerk of said City is hereby directed to attest his signature and affix thereto the corporate seal of said city. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned regular meeting held this 31st day of October, 1955, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Richard Gamlen and Telford Smith NOES, " None ABSENT, " Emilio Cortesi ATTEST: Arthur A.
