A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO~ SAID TERRITORY TO BE KNOWN
AS "ALLEN ADDITION."
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has received a written
petition to annex~;the hereinafter described real property to said City of South San Francisco as
uninhabited territory;
A portion of Block A, as shown upon that certain map entitled "TRACT 534, Map No. 1,
COUNTRY CLUB PARK, SAN MATEO COUNTY~ CALIFORNIA", filed in the Recorders office of San ~ateo County,
California on May 9th, 1941 in Voltune 23'of Maps at pages 54, 55, and 56, more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the northeasterly line of Alida Way (formerly A Street),
which point is the southerly corner of Lot 1, Block A as sho~n on said Map No. 1,
Country Club Park; thence along said northeasterly line of Alida Way North 31° 15'
West 140 feet and northwesterly along a curve to the left tangent to the preceding
course, with a radius of 241.20 feet, an arc distance of 223.12 feet to the south-
westerly corner of Lot 3, as shown on said map; thence along the northwesterly line
of said Lot 3 North 27° 49' 23" East 345.10 feet; thence North 58° 45' East 55 feet
to the southwesterly line of E1Camino Real; thence along said southwesterly line
South 31o 15' East 510 feet; thence South 58o 45' West 255 feet to the point of
beginning.
WHEREAS the territory hereinbefore described is in fact uninhabited territory; and
WHEREAS said City Council has found, and does hereby find, that petitioner OLIVER M.
ALLEN is the owner of more than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land hereinbefore described
and represents more than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of said land, according to the
last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Mateo; and
WHEREAS th~'BoUnda~y:Oommission of the County of San Mateo has certified to the definite-
ness and certainty of the boundaries of said property proposed to be annexed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that said City Council hereby designates the territory hereinbefore described as "ALLEN ADDITION"
for the purposes of identification.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
Tuesday, the 3rd day of January, 1956, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall in said City of South San Francisco be, and the same are, fixed as the time and
place when and w here any person or persons owning real property within the territory hereinbefore
described, and so proposed to be annexed, and having any objections to the proposed annexation~df
said territory may appear before said City Council and show cause why said territory should not be
aanexed.
The City Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this resolution to be published once
a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper
general circulation published in said City of South San Francisco, and likewise for two (2) con-
secutive weeks in the Advance Star, a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of
San Mateo, but elsewhere than in the City of South San Francisco, both of said publications to be
completed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of the ~earing provided for in the paragrap
next above.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 21st day of
November, 1955, by the following vote:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Andrew Rocca, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi, Richard Gamlen, Telford Smith.
