HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2291-1955RESOLUTION NO. 2291' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEME~ AMONG SAID CITY, SAN FRANCISCO BRIDGE COMPANY, AND LOUIS J. POIiE%~I AND NATALIA JEAN POLETT~ WHEREAS there presently extends across Airport Boulevard Industrial Tract a drainage slough, which crosses under Airport Boulevard and into the property of the San Francisco Bridge Company, and thence into the property of the City of South San Francisc~vhich is used as a site for the municipal sewage treatment plant; and WHEREAS it is proposed to relocate said drainage slough so that the same will lie in the location as previously established therefor many years ago, which location is comprised of an area generally designated as "Navigable Slugh", which area is the property of the City of South San Francisco; and WHEREAS by so relocating said drainage slough the City of South San FrancisCo, the San Francisco Bridge Company, and Louis J. and Natalia Jean Poletti, husband and wife, will be able to reclaim valuable property; and WHEREAS said Louis J. Poletti and Natalia Jean Poletti have agreed to bear the expense of so relocating said drainage slough, provided the San Francisco Bridge Company and City of South San Francisco pay to said Louis J. Poletti and Natalia Jean Poletti the sums of Twenty-seven Hundred Dollars ($2700.00) and Eighteen Hundred Dollars ($1800.00), respectively; and WHEREAS said Bridge Company has already deposited with the City said sum of Twenty-seven Hundred Dollars ($2700.00) as indication of its willingness to participate in the project herein contemplated; and ~S said Louis J. Poletti and Natalia Jean Poletti have agreed to waive or abandon all rights of drainage with respect to said property of said Bridge Company and said property of the City of South San Francisco and, also, said Bridge Company has agreed to abandon its drainage rights with respect to the property of said City, with certain exceptions; and WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of South San Francisco that the aforementioned project be undertaken and concluded, NOW, TEEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City shall enter into a contract, as contemplated in the premises hereto. In this connection, the Mayor of said City is hereby authorized to execute such contract on behalf of said City, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to the same and to affix thereto the corporate seal of said City. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco~ata~regular meeting held this 19th day of December, 1955.
