A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY_ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SM; FRANCISCO DETERMINING THAT DELINQUENT TA~ MONEYS
SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED AND APPORTIONED IN ACCORD~J~CE
THE TAX RATE ~TABLISHED FOR THE FISCAL YEAR IMMEDIATELY
PRECEDING THAT IN WHICH PA!{TICULAR DELINQUENT TA~
MONEYS ARE COLLECTED.
¥~EREAS Charles Ledwith, the certified Public Accountant retained by the City of
South San Francisco for the purpose of auditing the books of account thereof, has recommended
that if all delinquent tax moneys paid to said City were to be distributed and apportioned in
accordance with the tax rate established for the fiscal year immediately preceding that in
which particular delinquent ta~ moneys are paid, the work of the City Clerk and City Tax
Collector will be greatly lightened insofar as the handlinE of such delinquent tax moneys is
concerned, thus resulting in a considerable saving of time and money for said City; and
WH~EAS the City Council of said City concurs with the recommendation of said
certified Public Accountant,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of said City that said City
Council shall, and it hereby does, order that, in the interests of economy and efficiency, all
delinquent tax moneys hereafter collected by said City shall be distributed and apportioned in
8ccordance with the tax rate established for the fiscal year immediately preceding that in which
any such delinquent tax moneys shall have been paid to said City. This directive shall include
any and all delinquent ta~ moneys now held by said City which have not, as of the date hereof,
been distributed or apportioned to any particular funds of said City.
BE I~, FURTHER RESOLVED that the City G]lerk' and the City Tax Collector be, and
they hereby are, instructed to carry out the directive of this resolution. So that the Tax
Collector of said City may be fully informed of the deter~nation made by the City Council as
herein expressed, the City Clerk is hereby instructed to deliver a certified copy of this resolution
to said Tax Collector.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco held on the
19th day of March 1956, by the following vote:
