A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRAHCISCO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
A COOP~tATITE AGRE~;T BETWEEN SAID CITY AND
JOINT HIGF/;AY DISTRICT NO. 10 OF THE STATE OF
CALIFOrnIA PROVIDING FOH THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
PEDESTRIAN 07~RPASS AT THE INTER~ECTION OF HICKE~
BOULEVARD A~ HILTON AVMqUE IN SAID CITY.
~EREAS Joint Highway District No. 10, being cemr.rized of the County ef San
Mateo a~d the City and County of San Francisco, is a Joint Highway District organized pursuant
to the provisions of Sections 25,000 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Cede of the State of
California; and
%gEREAS said Jeint Highway District Ne. 10 is desirous ef entering into a
ceeperative agreement with said City ef Seuth San Francisco providing for the construction
of a pedestrian overpass at the intersection of Hickey Boulevard and Hilton Avenue in said
City of Seuth San Francisco; and
~EREAS said Joint Highway District Ne. 10 has agreed te contribute two-
thirds (2/3ds) of the cost of construction and construction engineering ef said pedestrian
everpass, and said City of South Francisco has agreed to contribute all remaininM ameunts
necessary for the construction and construction engineering ef said pedestrian overpass;
and
WHEREAS ~ is deemed advisable and to the beat interests of the people
ef the City ef South San Francisco to enter into said ceeperative agreement with said
Joint Highway District No. 10,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~ESOLYED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that said city enter into a coeperative agreement with Je~nt Highway Ne. l0
ef the State of California with respect to the construction of a pedestrian overpass at
the intersection of Hickey Boulevard and Hilton Avenue, in said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ~yer of said City be, and he hereby5
is, authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of said City, and the City Clerk ef
said City is hereby directed to attest thereto and affix thereto the corporate seal of
said City.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Oouth San Francisco
held on the &th day of June 1956, by the following vote:
