A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO DECLARING WEEDS, RUBBISH, REFUSE, AND DIRT UPON
PARCELS OF PRIVATE PROPERTY TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ?~
FIXING TIME FOR PUBLIC HEARING
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ef the City ef South San Francisce as
follows:
Said City Ceuncil hereby determines that weeds which will attain such a large
~rowth as te becemea fire menace when dry are new growing open private property in the City ef Seuth
San Francisce, and also determines that there is rubbish, refuse, and dirt upon certain lets er parcels
ef private preperty in said City, and declares said weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt te be a public
nuisance, which must be abated by their removal. Otherwise, said weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt will
be removed and the nuisance abated by the City authorities, and the cost and expense ef such removal
shall be assessed upon all lets ef land from which such weeds, rubbish, refuse, er dirt are removed,
and such cost will constitute a lien upon such land until the same is paid.
Said City ~euncil hereby fixes Menday, the 2nd day of ~,ly 1956, at the hour
ef 8:00 e'clock P. M., and the Council Chamber in the City Hall ef said Cityas the time and place
when and where any and all persons having an~ objections te the proposed remeval ef such weeds, rubbish,
refuse, and dirt may appear before said City Ceuncil and shew cause why the work ef said prepesed
removal ef weeds, rubbish, refuse, and dirt shall net be carried eut ~a accordance with this resolution.
The City Clerk is hereby directed te cause this resolution te be given two
(2) successive weekly publications in the lecal newspaper. Such publications shall be entitled "NOTICE
TO DESTROY ¥~EDS AND REMOVE RUBBISH, REFUSE, AND DIRT", and such title or captien shall appear in bold
print.

regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting

held en the 18th day ef June 1956, by the following
