A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A COOPERATIVE
AGRE~ENT BETWE~N SAID CITY AND JOI~ HIGHWAY DISTRICT
NO. 10 OF THE STATE OF CALIFOrnIA, AND THE STATE OF CAL~
IFORNIA PROVIDING FOR THE ACCk~TANCE OF HICKEY BOULEVARD
AS A PUBLIC STREET BY SAID CITY, AND PROVIDING THAT TqE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA SHALL BE 8OUND BY THE TERMS OF ALL
AGREeMeNTS HERETOFORE ENTERED INTO BETWEFN SAID CITY AND
SAID HIGPS~AY DISTRICT NOi 10 RELA?T~E TO THE RESURFACING OF HICKEY
BOULEVARD AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PEDESTRIAN OVERPASS
AT HICKEY BOULEVARD AND HILTON AVENUE IN ~AID CITY.
WHEREAS Joint Highway District Ne. 10 is te dissolve en July 5, 1956, and all
assets and liabilities ef said District are te be transferred te the State ef Califernia; and
~EREAS said Joint Highway District Ne. 10 has entered into certain agreements
with the City ef Seuth San Francisce with respect te the resurfacing ef Hickey Beulevard between
Junipere Serra Boulevard and E1 Camine Real in said City, and the constructien ef a pedestrian everpass
at the intersection ef Hickey Boulevard and Hilton Avenue in said City; and
'~HEREAS the State ef California is desireus ef entering into a ceoperative
agreement with said City ef Seuth San Francisco and said Jeint Highway District Ne. 10 previding for
the acceptance ef Hickey Boulevard as a public street in said ~ityand ~&~id~tthat the State ef
California shall be beund by the previsions ef all agreements heretefere entered inte between said
City and said Jeint Highway District Ne. 1Owith respect te the resurfacing ef Hickey Boulevard and
the~censtructien efa pedestrian overpass at Hickey Boulevard and Hilten Avenue in said City; and
~EREAS it is deemed advisable and te the best interests ef the peep~
ef the City ef South San Francisco that said City enter into said ceeperative agreement with said
State of California and said Joint Highway District No. 10,
NO,g, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Ceuncil ef the City efSeuth San
Francisce that said City enter into a ceeperative agreement with Joint Highway District Ne. 10 ef the
State ef California and the State ef Califernia providing for the acceptance efHickey Boulevard as a
public street in said City and providing that the State ef Califernia shall be bound by the terms ef all
agreements heretofore entered inte between said City and said Jeint Highway District Ne. 10 and with
respect te the resurfacing ef Hickey Boulevard and the censtructien efa pedestrian everpass at Hilton
Avenue and Hickey Boulevard in said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the M~yer ef said City be, and he hereby is, autherized
te execute said agreement en behalf ef said City, and the City Clerk ef said City is hereby directed te
attest thereto and affix thereto the cerporate seal ef said City.
