HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2376-1956~t.',~uLUTION NO. 2376 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCIS CO PROVIDING THAT SAID CITY SHALL TAKE THE NECPBSARY STEPS TO PROVIDE FOR POLICING THE USE OF THE PROPOSED HICK~ BOtq~ARD OVEqPASS AT THE INTERSECTION OF HICKEY BOULEVARD AND HILTO~' AVenUE IN SAID CITY. WHEREAS Joint Highway District No. 10 of the State of California has entered into a cooperative a~reement with said City of South San Francisco providing for the construction of a pedestrian overpass at the intersection of Hickey Boulevard and Hilton Avenue in said City; and WHEREAS the Beard of Directors of said Joint Highway District No~O has requested that for a period of one (1) year following the date said overpass is comoleted sai~'~shall police and guard the use thereof during such hours as the same shall be used by school Chi].dreH; and %~EREAS such request is reasonable and will not inconvenience said City in that said City is presently furnishin~ a ~uard at the approximate location of said overpass between the hours of 7:30 A.M. to 8:A5 A.M., 11:15 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., and 2:30 P.M. to A:30 P.M., NO?4 THEREFORE, BE IT R~SOLVED by the City Council of said City that said City shall, for a period of one (1) year followin~ the date of completion of the aforesaid overpass, oroVide adequate oolicing of the use thereof by school children. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and he hereby is, instructed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Beard of Directors of Joint Highway District No. 10 of the State of California and also to the Folice Department of said City. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at s regular meeting held this 18th day of June 1956, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN: NOES, " : ABSENT, " : G.
