A RESOI,UTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO ~ARDING CONTRACT FOR THE RESURFACING OF HICKEY
BOULEVARD FROM JUNIPERO SERRA 2OULEVARD TO k~ CAMINO REAL
IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
~,~EREAS, by and with the prior consent and authority of the City Council of the
City of South San' Francisco, the Director of Public Works of said City did, on the 22nd day of June
1956, at the hour of 3:00 o'clock P.M., duty open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals for the
resurfacing of Hickey Boulevard from Junipero Serra Boulevard to E1 Camino Real in the City of South
San Francisco, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore approved and adopted by
said City Council, and which a~e now on file with the Clerk of said City, together with the furnish-
ing of all necessary materials and labor in connection with said work of resurfacing; and
WHERF~S said Director of Public Works has reported that the bid of O. C. JONFS AND
SONS, a copartnership, in the total amount of ELEVEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND ~,~NTY-~gO DOLLARS
($11,122.00) is the lowest and best bid submitted for the performance of said work, and has
reco~mnended to City Council the acceptance thereof; and
~IHEREAS said City Council_ has examined all said bids and found the report of said
Director of Public Works to be true and correct,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RFS~ED by said City Council that the report and recommen-
dations of the Director of Public '~orks be acoepted; that all said bids, except that next hereinafter
mentioned, be, and the same hereby are, rejected; and that said City Council does hereby awsrd'the
contract for said work to said O. C. JONES AND SONS, a copartnership, at the price named in its bids.
The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby instructed to execute, on behalf of said
City, the contract for the performance of said work by said successful bidder.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was re~ularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 2nd day of
July 1956, by the following vote:
