A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN SAID CITY AND SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SCAVENGER COMPANY.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said
City enter into an agreement with the South San Francisco Scavenger Company, a co-partnership
engaged in the business of collecting and disposing of garbage, refuse, and other waste material~
of all kinds, the purpose of said agreement being to provide for the disposal of garbage, refuse
and waste materials of all kinds, originating or found within the confines of the City of South
San Francisco. Said agreement shall bear the date of July 5, 1956, and shall have a term of
fifteen (15) years, commencing with July 16, 1956, with an option for the same to be renewed
for an additional ten (10) years.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said City Council that the Mayor of said City shall
be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute the same on behalf of said City. The City Clerk
of said City is hereby instructed to attest to said agreement and to affix thereto the corporate
seal of said City.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned
regular meeting held this 5th day of July 1956, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Leo Ryan, G. J. Rozzi, Francis Lucchio, Emilio Cortesi.
Noes, None
Absent, Andrew Rocca
