A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH S.~,~ FRANCISCO DESIGNATING [FRANK ~.
FITZGERALD AS TELE~ISION CONSULTANT TO THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FR~.NCISCO
%~EAS numerous persons residing within the confines of the City of South San
Francisco have experienced considerable difficulty insofar as concerns reception of television programs on their
resDective home television sets; and
'~EREAS the City of South San Francisco has been requested by such persons to lend its aid towards
removing or eliminating the cause of such difficulty in television reception; and
%~ERF~S the City Council of the City of South San Francisco isdesirous of being of assistance to
the citizens of said City with respect to the matter of television reception, said matter being public in nature
and of general concern; and
~EREAS FRANK B. FITZG~LD, a citizen~ of said City, who resides at No. 644 Parkway in said City,
is qualified from the standpoint of education, training, and experience to act as an expert television consultant
insofar as concerns the solving of problems pertaining to television reception within the confines of said City,
and whereas ~atd FRANK B. FITZGERALD has expressed a willingness to perform as an expert television consultant
to the City of South San Francisco and its citizens without receiving any salary for such services,
NO~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said
City Council does hereby find and determine that it will bein the best interests of the citizens of said City
to engage F~RANK B. FITZGFRALD as an expert televi~ion consultant to said City, and said City Council does,
accordingly, hereby designate~and appoint said FRANK B. FITZGERALD to serve in the official capacity of expert
television consultant to said City, with no compensation being attached to such post.
BE IT FURT}{~ RESOLYED that the City. Clerk of said City shall, and he is hereby instructed to,
transmit a certified copy of this resol~tion to said FRANK B. FITZGERALD.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 17th day of September
1956, by the following vote:
