RESOLUTION OF TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO COMMENDING
THE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN AND ORDERING'
ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, the safety of our people and the protection of their property in the residential, in-
dustrial and business areas of our City depends in a great measure o~ the ability and devotion to duty of the
members of our Fire Department, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department of the City of South San Francisco has made an enviable record in
meeting this obligation to protect the people and their property from fire and like dangers.
WHEREAS, the Volunteer Members, who now in taking leave of the Department bring to a close the
era of volunteer assistance, have contributed to the Fire Department's record for Public Service.
WREREAS, the City Council desires to mar~k this event by placing in the public records a commen-
dation for the manner in which they have proformed their services, and further desires to issue to them
Certificates of Recognition .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of South San Francisco does commend Leo Benelli,
Archie Fregosi, Ambrose Galli, Mario Vincenziui, Albert Questoni, Chester Luchini, Marlo Sereni and Arthur
Johnson for their services to the City of South San Francisco as members of the Volunteer Fire Department, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Certificates of Recognition be awarded to each of them.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was reEularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of December,
1956, by the follow-lug vote:
Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchio and Leo J. Ryan.
