HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2453-19571-10 RESOLUTION NO. 24 53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REQUESTING THE SAN MATEO COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO AMEND THE PROCEDURE RESPECTING DISPOSITION OF FINES, FORFEITURES AND DEPOSITS IN THE MUNICIPAL COURT OF THE NORTHERN JUDICIAL DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco realizes in con- nection with other cities in the north end of San Mateo County the prevailing method of disposition of fines, forfeitures and deposits has many inequities, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco desires, in aid to other cities, to correct the inequities existing, NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City CounCil of the City of SOuth San Francisco that: 1. The County consider the use of a part of its receipts from the Municipal Court of the Northern Judicial District to reduce the contributions, from those cities that now exceed 12%, so that said cities' contributions may equal 12% or as close to that percentage as possible. 2. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the County Board of Supervisors and said Board be requested to join in'correCiing'these inequities. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 4th day of February, 1957, by the following vote: Ayes, Noes, Absent, Councilmen G. J. RozZi, Emilio CorteSi, Francis Lucchio and Leo J. Ryan None Councilman Andrew Rocca City Clerk
