HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2463-1957 RESOLUTION NO. 2463 RESOLUTION REITERATING AND CLARIFYING THE PROVISIONS OF RESOLUTION NO. 2140 APPROVING TERMS OF PETITION FOR FORMATION OF PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1955-1 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 25th day of April, 1955, pass its Resolution No. 2140 approving the terms of Petition for Formation of Parking District No. 1955-1 of the City of South San Francisco, California; and ~ WHEREAS, the Resolution of Intention to form said Parking District has not yet been passed; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco wishes to clarify its position with relation to the Petition heretofore filed and to set forth all of the requirements of Sections 35254, 35255, 35256 and 35257 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California insofar as the position of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has not been fully set forth with relation to the requirements of said sections; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran- cisco as follows: 1. This City Council finds and determines that the Pet~ition for the Formation of Parking District No. 1955-1 of the City of South San Francisco, Cal. has been signed by the requisite number of qualified signers and is sufficient, and said petition is hereby approved, and this City Council does hereby agree to the terms and conditions thereof. 2. That public interest and necessity require that the contributions of money proposed by said petition to be made by the City be made. That this City Council proposes that the contribution of the City of South San Francisco shall be set forth more clearly than is set forth in the Petition or said Resolution No.~2140 and does hereby agree that in the event said parking district be finally formed in the manner provided by the Parking District Law of 1951, the contributions of money that will be made by the City of South San Francisco are as. follows: (a) The net revenue from all of the parking meters or other revenue which shall be received from the establishment of the parking lots herein- above described and proposed to be acquired. (b) The net revenues from the parking meters which are installed and main- tained on any or all of the public streets or ways within the district, or which may hereafter be installed and maintained thereon. 3. This City Council does hereby find and determine that the public interest, convenience and necessity require that parking meters on public ways within the district be installed and maintained, or continue to be maintained, and this City Council does hereby agree that, in the event said parking district be formed in the manner required by the Parking District Law of 1951, it will install and maintain, or continue to maintain, parking meters as proposed in the petition. 4. The provisions of Resolution No. 2140 are hereby confirmed and made a part hereof except as modified or added to by this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was regularly and duly adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, San Mateo County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 4th day of March, 1957, by the following vote, to wit: AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchto and Leo J. Ryan NOES, None ABSENT, None Arthur A. Rodondi City Clerk, City of South San Francisco San Mateo County, California
