HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2493-1957 RESOLUTION NO. 2493 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENDORSING THE SAN RATEOCOUNTY SOCIETY FOR CRIPPLED CHILDREN AND ADULTS, INC. WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc. is a non-profit charitable corporation founded in 1940 and incorporated under the laws of the State of California with a Board of Directors and a Medical Advisory Committee whose members serve without pay, and WHEREAS, the Society over the years has produced programs to rehabilitate crippled children and adults, and WHEREAS, the services provided have been highly successful in the face of a con- stantly increasing demand, and WHEREAS, continuing and increased public support is needed to keep the Society abreast of the continuing demand and enable its expansion of facilities and programs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco commends the activities of this organization to the people of South San Francisco and urges the people of South San Francisco to volunteer their services to the Society and financial assistance. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 1st day of July, 1957, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchio and Leo J. Ryan NOES, None ABSENT, None ATTEST: Arthur A. Rodondi City Clerk
