A RESOLUTION 'OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO ORDERING REMOVAL OF WEEDS FROIf PARCELS
OF PRIVATE PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco dad, on the 15th
day of July 1957, adopt its Resolution No. 2497, in which said City Council determined
that weeds.which will attain such a large growth as to become a firemenace when dry
were growing upon private property in said City, and declared that said weeds must be
removed and that the cost and expense of such removal shall be assessed upon all lots
of land upon which such weeds exist and, in said resolution, fixedMonday, the Sth day
of Aufuet 1957, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m., and the Council Clmmbers in the City
Hall of said City, as the time and place when and where all persons havin~ any objections
to the proposed removal of said weeds may appear before said City Council and show cause
why the work of the proposed removal of weeds should not be carried out; and
WHEREAS, no person has protested or opposed the removal of said weeds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the Director of Public Works, as ex-officio Superintendent of Streets,
abate the nuisance caused by said weeds by havinf them removed. Said Director of Public
Works is hereby directed to keep an account of the co~t and expense of abating the
nuisance upon each separate lot or parcel of land where the work of removing said weeds
may be done, and to render an itemized report in writing to said City Council, showing
the cost and expense of removing said weeds. Before such report is submitted to said

City Council, said Director of Public Works shall caueo a copy thereof to be peered
on or near the chamber door of enid City Council, t~ether with a nottco of filing
the ease, and of the t~e and place when and where any persons int~eeted in the
work of removal of said weed~ will bo heard by said City Council, which copy of
said report shall be so p~ted for not lees than ten' (10) days prior to the time
when said report ~ay be submitted to said City Council.

at a regular meeting held thie 5th day of Auguet 1957, by the following
