A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY ~OUNCIL OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO ABANDONING EASEMENT
WHEREAS, a grant of easement dated the 31st day of August 1946 was obtained
by the City of South San Francisco from Jim Laricchia, and accepted by resolution
dated the 3rd day of September1946 of the City Council granting an easement for the
construction and maintenance of a storm water sewer in and through all that certain
real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State
of California and described as follows:
A strip of land five feet (5') in width border-
ing upon the northerly side of the southerly
boundary lines of Lots numbered One (1) and
Three (3) in Block numbered Eleven (11), as
shown upon that certain map hereinafter men-
tioned, and a strip of land five feet (5') in
width bordering upon the westerly side of the
easterly boundary line of said lot numbered
three (3) in said Block numbered Eleven (11)
as shown upon that certain map entitled: "SEC-
TION WEST OF RAILROAD OF TOWN OF BADEN, PART OF
RANCHO BUR1 BUR1, SAN RATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA",
which map was filed in the office of the Recorder
of the County of San Mateo, State of California,
on the 30th day of November, 1891, and recorded
in Book E of Maps at page 62 thereof.
W~EREAS, the easement granted by said Indenture has not been used for the
purpose for which it was dedicated or acquired and for more than five (5) consecutive
years next preceeding the date of this abandonment, and

WHEREAS, the City by Indenture executed on the 3rd day of February 1957
obtained from Jim Laricchia an easement for the construction and maintenance of
a stor~ water sewer in and through all that certain real property situate in the
City of South San Francisco, County of San Marco, State of California and described
as follows:
A strip of land five (5) feet in width, border-
ing upon the westerly side of the easterly
boundary line of Lot numbered Five (5) in Block
n~bered Eleven (11), as said Lot is shown upon
that certain map entitled: "SECTION WEST OF
RAILROAD OFT OWN OF BADEN, PART OF RANCHO
BUR1 BUR1, SAN MAT~O COUNTY, CALIFORNIA,"
which map was filed in the office of the county
Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of'
~,California,,on'the 30th. day, of November, 1891,'and
-recorded in~book ~E~' of Maps at.page 62,
the said latter easement-being.the,easement actually.used for stor~ water sewer
purposes.
NOW,.THEREFORE~ BE.IT RESOLVED~by the City. Council of the City of South
San Francisco having.not-used the easement.for.the purpose for which it was dedi-
cated or acquired for a period exceeding five (5) con~ecutive years next preceed-
lng the date of this.abandonment, not having used it, the right, title and interest
acquired by and through that certain Indenture dated the 31st day of August 1948
and recorded September 6, 1946, in Liber 1299 of Official Records at page 76 is
hereby vacated.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said vacation shall in noway release,
vacate or quitclaim any interest in the easement acquired by that Indenture
executed on the 3rd day of February 1947 by Jim Laricchia to the City of South San
Francisco and recorded on the 7th day of February 1947 in Liber 1325 of Official
Records at page 169.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco at a regular meeting held on the 19th'day of August, 1957, by the
following vote:

Councilmen Andrew Rocca, Leo Ryan, Francis Lucchio,
E~ilio Cortesi and G. J. Rozzi
