HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2516-1957RESOLUTION NO. 2516 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS UNINHABITED TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, SAID TERRITORY TO BE KNOWN AS "HORNER-BONINO TERRITORY" WHEREAS, the City Council of the C~y of South San Francisco has received a written petition from JACK C. HORNER and MILDRED E. HORNER, his wife, and approval and consent by L. M. BONINO, to annex to said City of South San Francisco the unin- habited territory situate in the County of San Marco, State of California, particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the City Limits Line of the City of South San Francisco as established by Ordinance No. 249, adopted August 19, 1946, with the northwesterly line of Avalon Drive, as said drive is shown on that certain Map entitled "AVALON PARK NO. 4SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA" which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Marco on the 13th day of June, 1956, in Volume 45 of Maps at page 27, said point of intersection being the most southwesterly angle point in the City Limits Line as established by Ordinance No. 368, adopted July 18, 1955; Running thence from said point of beginning on and along the City Limits Line as established by said Ordinance No. 368 and and along said northwesterly line of Avalon Drive northeasterly on the arc of a curve to the right tangent t9 a line which bears North 33° 20' 06" East, said curve having a radius of 230 feet, a central angle of 17° 23' 57", and an arc length of 69.85 feet; thence, continuing along said City Limits Line North 31° 17' 40" West 125.00 feet; thence., leaving said line, South 58° 42' 20" West 139.91 feet; thence South 31° 17' 40" East -, 126.31 feet to a'point in the City Limits Line established by said Ordinance No. 249; thence along said CitF Limits Line North 53° 00' East 31.74 feet and North 86° 20' East 47.03 feet to the point of beginning. CONTAINING 0.422 acres of land, more or less, and WHEREAS, the territory hereinbefore described is in fact uninhabited territory, and WHEREAS, said City Council has found, and does hereby find, that said JACK C. HORNER and MILDRED E. HORNER, his wife, and L. M. BONINO are the owners of more than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the land hereinbefore .described and represent more than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of said land, according to the last equalized assessment roll of the County of San Marco, and WHEREAS, the Boundary Co~mission of the County of Sa~ Marco has certified to the definiteness and certainty of the boundaries of said property proposed to be annexed, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council hereby designates the territory hereinbefore described as "Horner-Bonino Territory" for the purposes of identification. BE IT FURTHER RE~OLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Monday, the 7th day of October 1957, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall in said City of South San Francisco be, and the same are, fixed as the time and place when and where any person or persons owning real property within the territory hereinbefore described, and so proposed to be annexed, and having any objection to the proposed annexation of said territory may appear before said City Council and show cause why said territory should not be annexed. The City Clerk of said City shall cause a copy of this resolution to be pub- lished once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks in the South San Francisco Enterprise- Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published in said City of South San Francisco, and likewise for two (2) consecutive weeks in the Advance-Star, a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of San Marco, but elsewhere than in the City of South San Francisco, both of said publica~ ons to be completed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date of the hearing provided for in the paragraph next above. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 19th day of August, 1957, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchio and Leo J. Ryan NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: Arthur A. Rodondi City clerk
