A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN MUNICIPALLY OWNED PROPERTY TO
THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR USE AS THE SITE FOR A HEALTH AND WELFARE
CENTER
~HEREAS, the City of South San Francisco and the County of San Mateo have
agreed to the purchase and exchange of certain parcels of property for a price of FORTY-
SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS AND FORTY-EIGHT CENTS ($46,220.48), the same
being determined by an agreed formula based upon the appraisal of Rochex & Rochex,
Realtors and Appraisers of San Mateo County,
WHEREAS, the establishment of a Health & Welfare Center within the City of
South San Francisco will be of common benefit to the residents of South San Francisco,
WHEREAS, the City and County further desire to provide for the remOval of
certain equipment and improvements and for use pendi'ng the taking of possession by the
County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that said City does hereby agree to grant to the County of San Marco,
for the purpose of establishing thereon a Health & Welfare Center and for related pur-
poses for the consideration of FORTY-SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS AND'
FORTY-EIGHT CENTS, the real property situate in the County of San Marco, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL
BEGINNING at a point on the Southerly line of Grand Avenue EXtension
in the City of South San Francisco, said point being distant North
75° 28' West 340.00 feet from the intersection of the Westerly line of
Ashton Avenue with the Southerly line of Grand Avenue Extension running

40.00 feet; thence North 16° 17' 12" East 120.00 feet to the Southerly
line of Grand Avenue Extension; thence along said Southerly line South

BEGINNING at a point bearing South 33° 52' 56" East 264.03 feet and

page 63; running thence from said point of beginning North 14° 32' East
141.69 feet; thence South 75° 28' East 191.83 feet; thence South 14° 32'
West 162.59 feet; thence North 69° 15' West 192.96 feet to the point of
beginning. CONTAINING 0.67 acres of land.

BEGINNING at a point on the Northeasterly line of Mission Road, said
point bears South 33o52' 56" East 264.03 feet from the most Southerly
corner of Lot 8, Block 2, Map of Regli Tract filed April 7, 1924 in Book
11 of Maps at page 63; running thence from said point of beginning North
14° 32' East 270.65 feet; thmce South 69° 15' East 326.25 feet to a
point on the Northwesterly line of Ashton Avenue; thence South 53o 15'
West on and along said Northwest line of Ashton Avenue 391.79 feet to a
point where the Northwest boundary line of Ashton Avenue intersects the
Northeast line of Mission Road; thence North 330 52' 56"'West on and
along'the said Northeast line of Mission Road, 106.00 feet to the point
of beginning. CONTAINING 1.483 acres of land.

BEGINNING at a point on the Northwesterly line of Ashton Avenue said
point bearing South 33° 52' 56" East 370.03 feet and North 53° 15' East

Tract filed April 7, 1924 in Book 11 of Maps at page 63; running thence
from said point of beginning North 69° 15' West 133.59 feet; thence

thence South 16° 17' 12" West 70.41 feet; thence South 36° 45' East 37.76
feet to a point_on the said Northwesterly line of Ashton Avenue running

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall be entitled to:
1. Salvage sod
2. To remove backstop and irrigation system
To retain possession and use of the area for playground purposes until
the County requires the full possession for its purposes
4. To remove playground equipment
5. To remove the fence
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds obtained from the sale of said par-
celm shall be first applied to the development of playground areas previously scheduled
by the City Council,
BE IT ALSO FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of said City be and he hereby is,
authorized to execute the aforementioned Indenture on behalf of said City; and that the
