HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2521-1957RE~OLUTION NO. 9.59.1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO ~AYOR GEORGE CHRISTOPHER FOR HIS SUCCESSFUL CAMPAIGN TO LEAD THE GIANTS TO THEIR NEW HOME IN SAN FRANCISCO WHEREAS, Mayor George Christopher, by his determined efforts, has led the GIANTS to their new home in San Francisco to the great benefit of all California as well as his own City, and WHEREAS, the extent of his efforts to bring this great team and "Big League Baseball,, to this area is understood and appreciated, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, on behalf of its members and the people of this City, desire to publicly express appreciation to Mayor Christopher, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, on behalf of its members and the people of the City, hereby commends and expresses appreciation to Mayor George Christopher for winning his campaign to bring the GIANTS to their new home in San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco held on the 3rd day of September, 1957, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchio and Leo J. Ryan NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: Arthur A. Rodondi City clerk
