A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
.FRANCISCO REQUESTING THAT THE S~PZRVISOR8 OF'SAN MATEO
COUNTY ADD REPRESENTATIVgS FBOM THE NORTHERI~ PART OF THE
COUNTY TO ~ CHARTER STUDY COIflfITTEK
WHEREAS, the San Mates Board of Supervisors ham appointed a Charter Study
Committee to revise tho County Charter, and
WHKRKAS,, the Charter Study Committee*s recommendat i one will profoundly
effect grovth and welfare of San Mates County, and
WHEREAS the adoption of the Charter Study Committee's recommendations must
reflect the opinions of all areas of the County in order that sufficient public
support may be obtained' fOr'adopt'ion, and
WHEREAS, the Charter Study Committee, as presently constituted, fails to
provide adeqtmterepresentatives from the northern'part'of the County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Sups'l-visors of the County
of San Mates are hereby requested to add representatives from Daly City, Brisbane and
Coastside to the Charter StudyCommittee.
BE IT FUETHKR RESOLVED that the area representation be examined to determine
whether any other area8 have been leftwithout representation.
I hereby certify that the foros~ing resolution gao regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of SOuth San Fran-
cisco at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of October, 1957, by the
following vote:
AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi
and Leo J. Ryan
NOGS, None
ABSENT, Councilman Francis Lucchio
