HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2534-1957RESOLUTION NO. 2534 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ABANDONING AND VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC ROADWAY OR THOROUGHFARE DEDICATED TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND KNOWN AS BIRCH AVENUE WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2508 passed and adopted on the 5th day of August, 1957, the City Council declared its intention to abandon a portion of a road easement known as Birch Avenue and more particularly described therein, and WHEREAS, notice of hearing was duly given and posted and herein held on the 3rd day of September 1957 at 8:00 p.m. and continued through successive hearings until the 4th day of November, 1957, and WHEREAS, from the evidence received at said hearing the City Council finds that the portion of the easement described in the Resolution of Intention No. 2508 is unnecessary for present and prospective public use. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and ordered that the following described por- tion of that easement known as Birch Avenue be vacated: BEGINNING at the SE corner of Lot 32 in Block 7 Parkway Terrace, as recorded on December 23, 1926 at Redwood City, County~of San Marco, State of California; thence $ 74v 27' E 38.16 feet; thence N 33° 31' W 152.63 feet; thence N 74° 27' W. 38.16 feet; thence S 33° 31' E. 152.63 feet to the point of beginning. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 4th day of November, 1957, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchio and Leo J. Ryan NOES, None ABSENT, None ATTEST: Arthur A. Rodondi City Clerk
