HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2537-1957RESOLUTION NO. 2537 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REQUESTING THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITy, OF CALIFORNIA TO CONSIDER THIS CITY AS A SITE FOR A WEST BAY AREA CA]fl~US WHEREAS, the Board of Regents 'of the University of California are now considering locations for a west bay area campus, and WHEREAS, the location of a west bay area campus of the University of California, in or near the City of South San Francisco, would serve'over one million people now not conveniently or adequately served by such an institution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby respectfully request the Board of Regents of the University of California to include in their site consideration for a west bay area campus the City of South San Francisco and nearby areas. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 4th day of November, 1957, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, E~ilio Cortesi, Francis Lucchio and Leo J. Ryan NOES: None ABSENT: None ATTEST: Arthur A. Rodondi ~lty ~lerk
