HomeMy WebLinkAboutSuccessor Reso 13-2013RESOLUTION NO. 13-2013 SUCCESSOR AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY A RESOLUTION APPROVING SAN MATEO COUNTY HARBOR DISTRICT'S CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND MANAGEMEN'r PLAN PURSUANT TO 'THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY AND THE SAN MATEO COUNTY HARBOR DISTRICT WHEREAS, on March 25, 2011, the City of South San Francisco ("City"), the former Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco, and the San Mateo County Harbor District ("Harbor District") entered into an Agreement to make dock improvements to the Oyster Point Marina ("Agreement"); and WHEREAS, pursuant to that Agreement, the City, with funding frorn the former Redevelopment Agency, committed $2,000,000 to pay for the design, engineering, permitting and construction of up to two new docks in the Marina, provided that the Harbor District presented a Capital Improvement Plan and a Management Plan for the operations of Oyster Point Harbor ("Plans"), to the City for approval; and WHEREAS, the Harbor District has submitted the Plans to the City and staff has reviewed them and found them to adequately address the management and improvements needs of the harbor at the Oyster Point Marina; and WHEREAS, the City staff recommends that the City Council adopt a resolution approving the San Mateo County's Harbor District's Capital Improvement Plan and Management Plan pursuant to the Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Successor Agency of the City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency that the Successor Agency hereby approves of the San Mateo County's Harbor District's Capital Improvement Plan and Management Plan for the Oyster Point Harbor. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Successor Agency of the City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute and submit any required documents consistent with the intent of this resolution, subject to approval by the City Attorney. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Successor Agency of the City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency at a meeting held on the 11th day of September, 2.013 by the following vote: AYES: Boardi-nembers Mark N. Addiego, Richard A. Garbarino and Pradepp Gupta, Vice Chairwoman KqUl Matsumoto and Chairman Pedro Gonzalez. NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: Deputy City Clerk
