RESOLUTION NO. 2546
RESOLUTION ADOPTING, CONFIRMING AND APPROVING
ENGINEERS" REPORT OF IMPROVEMENTS IN LINDENVlLLE
INDUSTRIAL PARK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT AND APPOINTING
TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS TO PROPOSED
AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco by Resolution
of Intention No. 2543, heretofore adopted by said City Council, declared its inten-
tion to perform the work and improvement in Lindenville Industrial Park Improvement
District therein described; and
~AEREAS, said City Council in and by said resolution referred said proposed
work and improvement to Wilsey & Ham, Engineers in the Ctty'of Millbrae, San Marco
County, California, and directed said Engineers to make and file with the City Clerk
of the City of South San Francisco a report in writing containing the matters spec-
ified in Section 10204 of the Streets and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, said Engineers have on this date filed with the City Clerk of the
City of South San Francisco their report in writing containing said matters specified
in said Section 10204 of the Streets and Highways Code, including the following:
(a) Plans and specifications of the proposed improvement;
(b) An estimate of the cost of the proposed work and improvement and in-
cidental expenses in connection with the improvement;
(c) A diagram entitled "Assessment Diagram, Lindenville Industrial Park,
South San Francisco, San Marco County, California' showing the assessment district
and the boundaries and dimensions, of the subdivisions of land within the district
as they existed at the time of the passage of said Resolution of Intention, each
of which subdivisions has been given a separate number upon said diagram, and show-
ing the relative location of the parcels of land to the work proposed to be done and
improvements to be made;
(d) A proposed assessment of the total amount of the cost and expenses of
the proposed improvement distributed and allocated upon the several subdiv~ions of
land in the district in proportion to the estimated benefits to be received by such
subdivisions, respectively, from the improvement; and
(e) Said report shows no property to be acquired as a part of the improve-
ment; and
WHEREAS said report has been duly presented by said City Clerk to the
City Council for consideration and has been fully considered by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, aS follows:
1. Said report, including said plans and specifications, estimate of the
cost of improvement and incidental expenses in connection therewith, diagram and pro-
posed assessment are hereby adopted, confirmed and approved.
2. Thursday the 19th day of December, 1957, at 4:30 o'clock p.m. (P.S.T.)
at the meeting room of the City Council, City Hall, South San Francisco, California,
are hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing protests to the proposed improve-
meat. Any interested person may object to the proposed improvement, the extent of the
assessment district or to the proposed assessment by filing a written protest with the
City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco at or before said time set for said hear-
ing, and said City Clerk shall endorse on each protest the date of its receipt and at
said time appointed for said hearing shall present to the City Council all protests
filed with said City Clerk.
3. The C~ty Clerk is hereby .directed ~o cause to be posted conspicuously
in the time, form and manner provided by law, on all open streets within said district,
at not more than 300 feet apart on each street'so posted, but not less than three in
a11, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 2543.
4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the passage of
said Resolution of Intention to be published by two successive insertions in THE SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the
City of South San Francisco, and to give notice by mail of the adoption of said Resol-
ution of Intention and of the filing of said report to all persons owning real property
proposed.to be assessed in the time, form and manner provided by Chapter 4, Division 12
of the California Streets and Highways Code, and otherwise in accordance with all re-
quirements of law.
5. Upon the completion of the mailing.of said notices, the City Clerk is
hereby directed to file with this City Council an affidavit setting forth the time and
manner of the compliance with the requirements for publishing, posting and mailing said
notices.
Passed and adopted this 18th day of November, 1957, by the
following vote:
