HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2561-1957CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO LINDENVILLE INDUSTRIAL PARK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT RESOLUTION NO. 2561 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR BIDS AND DETERMINING GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, State of California, heretofore by Resolution of Intention No. 2543 adopted November 18, 1957, declared its intention to order the work to be done and improvements to be made as described in said Resolution of Intention; and WHEREAS, said City Council in said Resolution of Intention referred said work and proposed improvement to the Engineers of Work, Lindenville Industrial Park Improvement District, and directed said Engineers to make and file with the City Clerk of said City a report in writing, pursuant to the provisions of Calif- ornia Streets and Highways Code Sections 10203 and 10204; and WHEREAS, said Engineers duly made and filed their report inwriting with said City Clerk; and WHEREAS, said report was duly presented by said City Clerk to the City Council for consideration and after being fully considered by said City Council was by Resolution No-. 2546 heretofore adopted by said City Council on November 18, 1957, adopted, confirmed and approved; and, after hearing duly held on due notice, the City Council by resolution adopted on December 19, 1957, confirmed the assessment provided for in said report and ordered the proposed improvements described in said Resolution of'Intention to be made; and funds for part of said proposed improvement are now in the custody of the City Treasurer; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish by two insertions in THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a newspaper published and circulated in said City and hereby designated by the City Council for that purpose, a notice inviting sealed proposals for the doing of said work and improvement, in substan- tially the form attached hereto as Exhibit A and in the manner prescribed by law. 2. Monday, the 20th day of January, 1958, at 8:00 P.M. (P.S.T.) at the meeting room of the City Council, City Hall, South San Francisco, are hereby fixed as the time and place for the opening of the bids. 3. Pursuant to Section 1770 of the California Labor Code, the City Council hereby determines that the general prevailing ra~ of per diem wages applicable to said work and improvements described in said Resolution of Intention No. 2543 shall be as set forth in the plans-and specifications for said work and improvement attached to said Engineers' report on file in the office of the City Clerk. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of December, 1957, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Emilio Cortesi, and Francis Lucchio. NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Andrew Rocca and Leo J.
