HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2574-1958194 RESOLUTION NO. 2574 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPROVING PRELIMINARILY THE ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT TO BE PERFORMED IN CONNECTION WITH HARBOR WAY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that: WHEREAS, on the 6th day of January 1958, said City Council did adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 2567 to improve a portion of Harbor Way as that public street is proposed to be extended from the northerly boundary of the subdivision known as "South San Francisco Industrial Park" to East Grand Avenue, and did refer the matter of performing engineering services in connection with the proposed im- provements to the engineering firm of WILSEY & HAM, being a competent firm employed by said City for that purpose, and did therein direct said engineering firm of WILSEY & HAM to make and file with the City Clerk of said City a report in writing, all as therein more particularly described, under and pursuant to the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, as amended; and WHEREAS said WILSEY & HAM has made and filed with the City Clerk of said City a report in writing as called for in said Resolution of Intention, and under and pursuant to said Act, which report has been presented to said City COuncil for consideration; and WHEREAS said City Council has duly considered said report and each and every part thereof, and finds that each and every part of said report is sufficient, and that neither said report nor any part thereof requires to be, or should be, modified in any respect, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows: 1. That the plans and specifications for the proposed improvements to be made, as contained in said report, be, and they are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed. 2. That WILSEY & HAM's estimates of the itemized and total anticipated costs and expenses of said improvements and of the incidental expenses to be incurred in connection therewith, as contained in said report, be, and each of them are hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed. 3. That the diagram showing the assessment district referred to and des- cribed in said Resolution of Intention, and also the boundaries and dimensions of the respective subdivisions of land within said district, as the same existed at the time of passage of said Resolution of Intention, each of such subdivisions having been given a separate number upon said diagram, as contained in said report, be, and they are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed. 4. That the proposed improvements upon the several subdivisions of land in said assessment district and the estimated assessments calculated in proportion to the anticipated benefits to be received by such subdivisions, respectively, from said acquisitions and improvements and from the incidental expenses to be incurred in connection therewith, as contained in said report, be, and they are hereby, pre- liminarily approved and 9onfirmed; and 5. That said report, unless hereafter modified, shall stand as the Engineer's report for the purpose of all subsequent proceedings had pursuant to said Resolution of Intention. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 20th day of January, 1958, by the follow- ing vote: AYES, Councilmen G.
