HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2581-1958RESOLUFION NO. 2.581 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO TO PASS AN ORDINANCE I/AKING CERTAIN CITY LANDS AVAILABLE FOR THE USE OF PARKING DISTRICT NO. i BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: A. That on the 3rd day of September, 1957, said City Council passed and adopted its Ordinance No. 418 entitled, "Ordinance Declaring the Formation of Parking District No. 1 of the City of South San Francisco as Amended, Describing the Properties to be Acquired, the Work to be Done, the Boundaries Thereof, Determining the Maximum Rate of Ad Valorem Assess- ments and Directing that Options or Contracts be Obtained or that Condemnation Proceedings be Instituted for the Acquisition of the Lands to be Acquired for Said Parking District No. 1". B. That included in the parcels of land proposed to be acquired and used for off- street parking described in said ordinance were the following described lots, pieces or parcels af land locate, situate and being in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, to wit: Parking Lot 6: All of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 126 as delineated and set out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San.Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1", which map was filed.in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B' of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of M~ps at page 52. Parking Lot 7: All of Lots 12 and.13 in Block 126 as delin- eat~d~ana se~ out.on that 'certain, map entitledi'South San Francisco;.San Mateo~Co~,. Cal~.:~ Plat No,i 1,', whieh~ap was filed in the office of the~County Reco=der of San.~Mat~o County on March'l,"1892 in Book,"B,,of.Original Maps at page 6 and copied~into Book 2.of Maps at page 52. C. The City Council of the City of South~San Francisco hereby finds and determines that the above described properties are City lands and further finds and determines that sa~d properties hereinabove described as Parking Lot 8 and Parking Lot 7 arb either being used for the purposes of public off-street parking or are not needed by the City of South San Francisco for any other purpose and are available for such use. D. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco to pass an ordinance providing that said hereinabove described parcels of City lands of the City of South San Francisco shall, for all purposes of Parking District No. I of the City of South San Francisco, be held, used and treated in all respects the same as parking places acquired with the proceeds of bonds to be issued under the proceedings for acquisition and improvement of facilities for o~f-street parking in said Parking District No. 1. The City lands with respect to which it is proposed to adopt such an ordinance are the lands hereinabove described as Parking Lot 6 and Parking Lot 7 and which are also des- cribed in Ordinance No. 418 of the City of South San Francisco as Parking Lot 6 and Parking Lot 7. E. It is not proposed by the City Council of .the City of South San Francisco that any compensation shall be paid to the City of South San Francisco for such City lands here- inabove described; and F. Monday, the 17th day of March, 1958, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. of said day, at the meeting place of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco located in the City Hall, South San Francisco, California, is hereby fixed as ihe time and place for hearing any objections to the passage of an ordinance providing ~hat the said lands herein- above described shall for all purposes of Parking District No. 1'be held and used and treated in all respects the same as parking places acquired with the proceeds of bonds to be issued in these proceedings. The City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco is hereby directed to give notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention by two insertions thereof in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, which is a ne~spaper of general circulation published and printed in the City of South San Francisco, and which newspaper is the newspaper in which Resolution of Intention No. 2464 and Ordinance. No. 418 were printed, the first publication of which shall be not less than thirty days prior to the date herein fixed for hearing. Said City Clerk shall also, not less than thirty days prior to the date herein fixed for hearing, mail a copy of this Resolution of Intention, postage thereon prepai~to each person to whom real property in the proposed district is assessed, as shown on the last equalized assessment ro11, at his address as shown upon the ro11, and to each person, whether owner in fee or having a lien upon or legal or equitable interest in any real property within the district, whose name and address and a designation of the real property in which he is interested is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
