HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2592-1958RESOLUTION NO. 2592 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ABANDONING AND VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT (SANITARY SEWER) IN LINDENVILLE WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2570 passed and adopted on the 20th day of January 1958, the City Council declared its intention to abandon a portion of a public service easement known as the Lindenville Sanitary Sewer and more particularly described, and WHEREAS, notice of hearing was duly given and held on the 17th day of February 1958 at 8:00 p.m. and continued until the 3rd day of March 1958, and WHEREAS, from the evidence received at said hearing the City Council finds that the portion of the easement described in the Resolution of Intention No. 2570 is unnecessary for present and prospective public use. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following described portion of that public service easement (sanitary sewer) known as .Lindenville Sanitary Sewer be vacated: A strip of land ten (10) feet in width lying five (5) feet on either side of the following described centerline: BEGINNING at the easterly terminus of that certain course described as "S 82° 49' 30" W 1330.25 feet" in the Deed of ten (10) foot right- of-way from South San Francisco Land and Improve- ment Co., a corporation, to City of South San Francisco dated April 27, 1945, and recorded May 4,-1945, in Volume 1173 of Official Records of San Mateo County at page 193 (48727-F); thence along last said course, S 82° 49' 30" W 1097 feet, more or less, to the westerly termination of this ten (10) foot strip of land, said westerly ter- mination being a point on the northwesterly boundary line of that certain 19.533 acre parcel of land described in the Deed from Utah Construc- tion Company, a corporation, and E. T. Haas and R. M. Haynie to Zellerbach Paper Company, recorded Nay 3, 1956, in Volume 3017 of Official Records of San Mateo County, California, at page 463, last said point being distant along the northwesterly boundary line of said 19.533 acre parcel of land, S 34° 58' 59" E 112.23 feet from the northerly corner thereof. which was dedicated to the City of South San Francisco by deed from the South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, dated April 27, 1945, and recorded May 4, 1945, in Book 1173, Official Records of San Mateo County at page 193 (48727-F). Reference is made to Map #52449 dated August 19, 1957, on file in the City Clerk's Office designating said portion of the easement. * * * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 3rd day of March, 1958, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen G.
