A RESOLUTION 'CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS
PINEVIEW cREsT
RESOLYED, by the City CoueCil of the City of South San Francisco, Calif-
ornia, that
WHEREAS, the said Council did, on the 31st day of March, 1958, adopt its
· Resolution of Intention No. 2597 tO order the grading and Construction of paving,
curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm drains,' sanitary sewers, streTet light system,
fire alarm.system, erosion control planting, street signs and engineer's 'monuments
in said City, all an moro particularly described and set forth in said Resolution
of Intention.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of the City is hereby directed to publish,
by two successive insertions in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper published and
circulated in said City, a'notice 'inviting'sealed proposals' or bids for the con-
etruction of said improvements, and'referring to the plans a~d specifications on
file in the office of said City Clerk, the firnt of which publications shall be
at least ten days'prior to' the time fixed for'opening bids'. -
All 'proposals or bids"shall 'be'accompanied by a cashier's or certified
check payable to tho'order of the City amounting~to'ten percent of the* bid, or by
a bond in said amount and payable to said City, signed by the bidder'and a corporate
surety or by the'bidder and two sureties who shall Justify-before any officer
competent' to"administeF-'sn 'oath, in-double saidamount'andoverand above all
statutory'exemptions. Said' check 'shall be forfeited'or said bond'ahaI1 become
payable to said 'City in casethe bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen
days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a
contract'with the City.
Said sealed proposals or' bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk of
this City on or before 3:00 o'clock p.m. on the 7th day of 'April, 1958, said time
'being not less than ten days from the time of the first publication of 'said notice.
Bids will be publicly opened, examined 'and declared on said day and hour by the
City Manager and the results reported to the City Council at 8:00 p.m. of the same
day.
