HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2608-1958 RESOLTUION NO, :3608 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT IMPROVEMENTS RESOLVED, by the City Council of' the City of ~outh San Francisco, 'California, that in its opinion the public interest and convenience require, and that .i-t is the intention of said*Council to" order the" following improvements', .to 'wit: 1. The improve~ent of #adrone-Avenue between the center lines of 'Chain Avenue and Randoll~ Avenue by' grading, including the removal of concrete curh~, ~ut'ters, dr!veway~ and side- walks, and' the comatruCtion therei'n ot~'cru~her' run base pavement with plant mix surfacing, and Portland cement COnCrete 'curbs,' gutters', sidewalks and driveways. (b) The performing of all ~ork auxiliary to any of the above necessary' to coaplete the sane. 2. Whenever any public way is herein referred' to'as running-between two public ways, or from or to any public way, the intersections of the public nys re- ferred to are included to the extent that work Shall be shown on the plans to be done therein. 3. Said streets andhighnysare acre partieularl'y shown in the records in the office of the County Recorder of San Mates County, California, 'and shall be shown upon the plans herein referred to to be'filed'with'the'City Clerk of'said City. 4. All'of said work'and'improvements are to be constructed at'the places and in the particular'locations, of'the for~a, sizes, di~ensiona and amterials, and at the lines, grades and elevations as shown and delineated upon the plans, profiles and specifica'tion~ to be madetherefor, as hereinafter provided;I 5. There is to be excepted free the work hereindescribed any of such work already done to line andgrade and ~arked excepted or shown not to be done on said' plans, profiles and specifications. 6. Notice is'hereby given of the fact that innany casessaid work and improvement will bring the finished work to a ~rade different from that formerly exist- ing, and.that to said extent said grades are hereby changed and that said work will be done'-'to"'Baid changed grades. 7. Said Council further declares that all public streets and highnys within said assessnent district in use in the perforamnce of a public functiona~:'such shall be o~itted from the assessamnt hereafter to be made to cover the costs and expenses of said improvements. 10. Nottceis hereby liven 'that serial bonds to represen~ the'unpeid assessments, and bear interest at the'rate-of not to exceed six percents(6%) per annum, will be'issued hereunder in the manner provided in the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, Division 10 c~ the pavement with plant mix surfacing, and POrtland cement concrete curbs,' gut~erw, 'sidenlk8 and drivenys. Said Council further declares that all public streets and highnys within said assessment dlstrtct in use in the performance of a public functiosfm..such shall be omitted from the amsessment hereafter to be made to cover the costs and expenses of said improvements. lO. Notice'is hermby given 'that serial bonds to represent the'unpaid assessments, and bear interest at the rateof not to exceed six percents(6%) per annum, will he'issued hereunder in the manner provided in the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, Division lOd the Streets and Hlghnys Code, the last installment of ~hich bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years'from the second day of July nextsucceeding tom'(lO)'mOnths from their dire. 11. Except as herein otherwise provided for the issuance ofbondm, all of said improvements ~shall be done pursuant to the*provisions of.the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913, a~ amended. 13. Reference is hereby made to proceedings had pursuant to Division 4 of the Streets and Htghnys Code on fils in the office of't'he City Clerk. 13. Said proposed'improvements are hereby referred to the Director of Public Works, being acompetent person employed by said City for that purpose; and said Director of Public Works ls hereby directed to make and file with the City Clerk of laid City a report in writing, presenting the following: ~: (a) Piano and specifications of the proposed improvements to be made pursuant to thlB""Resolution'of'Intention; (b) Statement of the itemiZed'and total estimated costs and expenses of said'improvements-and of the incidental expenses-in connect'ion ~herewith; (c) Diagram showing the assessment district above referred'to, and also the'boundaries and dimension8 of the respective subdivisions of land Within said'district as~ the same existed at the time of the passage of this Reso- lution of Intention, each of'which subdivisions shall be given a separate number upon said:diagram; (d) A proposed assessment of the total amount of the colts and expenses 22' of the proposed improvements upon the several subdivisions of land in said district in proportion to the esti~ated benefits to be received by such subdivisions, respectively, from said improvements, and of the expenses incidental thereto. 14. If any excess shall be realized from the assessment it shall be spent for the maintenanCe of said improvements, unless the Council Shall hereafter determine that said amount or any part thereof shall be applied a~ a credit to each assessment herein. , * * * * · , I hereby certify that the foregoin~ resolution vas regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular, meeting held this 7th day of April, 1958, by the following vote: AYES, COuncil~en O.
