A RESOLUTION CALLING .FOR SEALED PROPOSALS - MADRONE AVENUE
RESOLVED, by the City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco, California,
that
WlI~REAS, the said Council did, on the 7th day of April, 1958, adept its
Resolution of Intention No. 3608 to order the grading~and removal and construction of
pavement, curbs, ~utters, sidewalks, d~ivewaye, and appurtenances in said CitY, all as
more particularly described and set forth in said Resolution of-Intention;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of said'City is hereby directed to publish,
by two successive insertions in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper published and cir-
culated in said City, a notice invitin~ sealed proposals or bids for the construction
of said improvements, and referring to the planm and specificationm on file in the
office of said City Clerk, the first of which publication~ shall be st least ten days
prior to the time fixed for'opening bids.
All proposals or btdm shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check
payable to the order of the City amounting to ten percent (10~) of the bid, or by a
bond in said amount and payable to.said City, signed by the' bidder and acorporate
surety or by the bidder and two sureties who'shall Jumtify before any officer competent
to administer an oath, in double maid,amount and overand above all statutory exemptions.
Said check shall be forfeited or said bondshall become payable to said City in case
the~bidder depositing the same deem not, within fifteen days after written notice that
the contract has been awarded~to~him, enter into a contract w~th:the City.
Saidseale.d'proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk'of this
City on or before 8:00 o'cl°~k P*M. on the"19th day of May, 1958~ said time being not
lees than ten days from the time of the first publication.of said notice. Bid~ will
be publicly opened, examined anddeclared on said day and hour.
I hereby certify that the foregoing~resotution'was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this ?th day of April,
