A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVING
MILLER AND WEST ORANGE AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, by and with the prior consent and authority of the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco, the Director of Public Works of said City did,
on the 15th day of April, 1958, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock p.m., duly open,
examine, and declare all sealed proposals for improving Miller and West Orange
Avenue in the City of South San Francisco in accordance with the plans and
specifications heretofore approved and adopted by said City Council, and which
are now on file with the Clerk of said City, together with the furnishing of
all necessary materials and labor in connection with said work of improvement,
and
WHEREAS, said Director of Public Works has reported that the bid of The
Fay Improvement Company in the total amount of Thirty-eight Thousand Seven Hun-
dred Seventy-five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($38,775.50) is the lowest and best bid
submitted for the performance of said work and has recommended to said City Council
the acceptance thereof, and
~REAS, said City Council has examined all said bids and found the
report of said Director of Public Works to be true and correct,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by said City Council that the report and
recommendations of the Director of Public Works be accepted; that all said bids,
except that next hereinafter mentioned, be,'and the same hereby are, rejected; and
that said City Council does hereby award the contract for said work to said Fay
Improvement Company at the price named in its bid.
The Mayor is hereby authorized and instructed to execute on behalf of
said City the contract for said work by successful bidder and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest thereto to his signature.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 21st day of April,
1958, by the following vote:
AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, tlailio CorteSi, Leo Ryan
and Patrick Ahern
