HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2691-1958RESOLUTION NO. 2691 RESOLUTION CREATING ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION FUND, TRANSFERRING FUNDS THERETO, PROVIDING FOR EXPENDITURES THEREFROM AND REIMBURSEMENT THEREOF IN CONNECTION WITH PROPOSED PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1 OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has instituted proceedings for the creation of a proposed parking District No. 1 of the City of South San Francisco under the provisions of Ordinance No. 418 of the City of South San Francisco, and amendments thereto; and WHEREAS, Section 35108.5 of the Parking District Law of 1951, which is the principal Act under which said Parking District is to be formed, provides for the transfer i~o the Acquisition and Construction Fund for such sums as may be deemed necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that there is hereby created a fund to be designated Acquisition and Construc- tion Fund for Parking District No. 1; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all funds for the acquisition of land and the improvement thereof in said proposed Parking District No. 1 shall be paid into said fund; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $2,500.00 be, and it is hereby, trans- ferred from the Parking Meter Fund of the City of South San Francisco to the said Acquisition and Construction Fund under the authority of Section 35108.5 of the Parking District Law of 1951 of the State of California, and Ordinance No. 418; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said sum of $2,500.00 shall be used for the purpose of making such acquisitions or improvements and incidental expenses of the proceedings in connection with said Parking District Law of 1951 as may be authorized by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said $2,500.00 so transferred shall be deemed a loan to said Acquisition and Construction Fund and shall be repaid to the Parking Meter Fund from the proceeds of bonds issued in connection with the establishment of said proposed Parking District No. 1 of the City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, San Mateo County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 2nd day of September, 1958, by the following vote, to wit: AYES, NOES, None ABSENT, None Councilmen G.
