HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2695-1958'298 RESOLUTION NO. 2695 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT INDUSTRIAL PARK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco heretofore by Resolution adopted September 2, 1958, ordered the wOrk and acquisitions and improvements described in Resolution of Intention No. 2671, adopted July 21, 1958, and in the contract documents and plans and specifications described and referred to in said Resolution of Intention in an assessment district designated "Industrial Park Improveme~ District No. 3" described and referred to in said Resolution of Intention; and WHEREAS, said City Council, by Resolution adopted July 21, 1958, directed the publication of a Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals for the doing of said work and improvements and fixed Tuesday, the 2nd day of September, 1958, at 8:00 p.m., in the meeting room of the City Council, City Hall, South San Francisco, as the time and place for the opening of sealed proposals for doing said work and improvements; and WHEREAS, said City Council in open session on September 2, 1~58, publicly opened, examined and declared all sealed proposals for doing said work and improvements as described in said Resolution of Intention, which Resolution of Intention is hereby ex- pressly referred to for further information; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, as follows: 1. The City Council hereby rejects all of said bids, except that of A. Dale Williams and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and making said improvements to A. Dale Williams, the lowest responsible bidder, at the unit prices named in the bid of said bidder on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed forthwith to give written notice to said A. Dale Williams that said contract has been awarded to it. 3. The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the Mayor and the City Clerk on behalf of the City of South San Francisco to execute a written contract with said bidder for said work and improvements described in and pursuant to said Resolution of Intention, that certain report made and filed with the City Clerk of said City by the Engineers of Work for said Industrial Park Improvement District No. 3, and the bid of said bidder, in the time, form and manner provided by law, said contract to be in substan- tially the form of agreement set forth in the plans and specifications included in said report of said Engineers of Work. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 1958, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Leo J. Ryan and Patrick E.
