HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2714-1958RESOLUTION NO. 2714 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND FILING OF A PETITION TO ANNEX CERTAIN SCHOOL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corpor- ation in the County of San Mateo, State of California, that WHEREAS, the South San Francisco Unified School District of the County of San Mateo, State of California, has filed with the City of South San Francisco a verified petition des- cribing the real property, alleging facts qualifying it for annexation pursuant to Title 4, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 1, Article 3 of the'Government Code of the State of California and requesting that it be annexed, and WHEREAS, said real property is contiguous to the City of South San Francisco, is uninhabited, not a part of any City, and is located within the territorial limits of this School District, which School District includes all of the City of South San Francisco, and WHEREAS, the Boundary Coemission of the County of San Mateo has been advised of the proposed annexation of said territory to the City of South San Francisco and has reported as to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed boundaries, and WHEREAS, the said real property proposed to be annexed to said City of South San Francisco, a plat of which is annexed hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and made a part hereof, is more particularly described as follows: NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows: 1. G. J. Rozzi, Mayor of the City of South San Francisco, is hereby authorized and directed to execute and file on behalf of the City ot South San Francisco a p e~tition to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, requesting the annexation of the hereinabove real property to the City of South San Francisco; and further requesting that the said Board of Supervisors conduct and complete proceedings pursuant to Title 4, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 1, Article 3, Government Code of the Statec~ California to effect said annexation and the Clerk of the City of South San Francisco is further authorized and directed to attest the signature of the Mayor to said petition. 2. The Clerk of the City of South San Francisco is hereby directed to file re- quired copies of this resolution and the petition it authorizes with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Fran- cisco at a regular meeting held on the 1st day of December, 1958, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen G. H. Cowell, by Deed dated January 9, 1899 and recorded July 11, 1899 in Book 81 of Deeds at page 20; said most Westerly corner also described as point of beginnihg of parcel of land from F. W. McLellan Co., a California Corporation, Grantor, to R. I.
