HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2745-1959RESOLUTION NO. 2745 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SUPPORTING THE REQUEST OF SAN BRUNO FOR Ak'ENDING STATE LEGISLATION TO MAKE FEDERAL HIGHNAY FUNDS AVAILABLE ON LOCAL ROADS WHICH ARE EXTENSIONS OF FREEWAYS WHEREAS, the City of San Bruno has requested amending state legislation to make available federal funds for the improvement of San Bruno Avenue as a local road which is the extension of a freeway, and WHEREAS, the improvement of San Bruno Avenue would be of a benefit to the motoring public making use of Bayshore Boulevard and would promote convenience and safety. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that this City does support amending legislation to make available federal funds for the improvement of San Bruno Avenue for the convenience and safety of motorists using tkis local road as an extension of the freeway. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 16th day of February, 1959, by the following vote: AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Emilio Cortesi, Leo J. Ryan and Patrick E. Ahem. NOES, None ABSENT, None ATTEST: ARTHUR A. RODONDI CITY CLERK
