A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ORDERING
CHANGE OF THE NAME OF STREET TO ECCLES AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco desires to
order the change of the name of Sperry Avenue to Eccles Avenue from the point of its
beginning at the intersection of Sperry and Grand Avenues to the point where it joins
Eccles Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of 'South San Francisco has recom-
mended said change of name.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City COuncil of the City of South San
Francisco and it is hereby ordered that the street name of Sperry Avenue from the point
of its beginning at the intersection of Grand Avenue to the point where it joins Eccles
Avenue be changed to Eccles Avenue, so that Eccles Avenue shall be the name of the full
length of the street running from Grand Avenue on the south to Butler Road on the north
and that part of Sperry Avenue remaining which runs off in an easterly direction from
the easterly boundary of the newly named Eccles Avenue shall retain the name of Sperry
Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall forward a copy of this res-
olution to the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo and any other public office
required by law.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 16th day of March, 1959, by
the following vote:
AYES, Councilmen G. J. Rozzi, Andrew Rocca, Leo J. Ryan and Patrick E. Ahern
NOES, COuncilman Emilio Cortesi
ABSENT, None
