RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO AMENDING SECTION 4 OF RULE IV-(a) OF THE RULES
AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY BY ADDING SUBSECTION (~)
SPECIFYING CLASS FROM WHICH PROMOTION TO CHIEF OF POLICE
IS TO BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that Section 4 of Rule IV-(a) of the Rules and Regulations of the City of South
San Francisco be and the same are hereby amended by adding thereto Section 4 (c)
to read as follows:
(c) With respect to the post of Chief of Police, the applicant shall
have attained the rank of captain, sergeant or inspector and be holding such rank
at the time of his filing application for.and his acceptance of appointment to
Chief of Police.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly in-
troduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held this 6th day of April, 1959, by the following vote:
