HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2790-1959 RESOLUTION NO. 2790 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND ATTORNEYS INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT NO. 2-C, ZONE 2. RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that WHEREAS, this Council has deter~ined to undertake proceedings pursuant to appropriate special assessment and assessment bond acts for the acquisition and con- struction and financing of public improvements in said City; WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served by appointing and employing engineers and attorneys for the preparation and conduct of said proceed- ings and work in connection with said acquisitions and improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows: 1. That Wilsey & Ham, Civil Engineers, Millbrae, California, be, and they are hereby, appointed as Engineer of Work to do and perform all of the engineering work necessary in and for said proceedings, including all preliminary surveying, prep- aration of plans, profiles, specifications, estimate of costs, diagram, assessment, setting grade stakes, supervision of work, preparing, signing and filing the list of unpaid assessments, and that their compensation be fixed at the reasonable value thereof to be paid on successive certificates to be approved by Utah Construction Com- pany, and to be assessed as an incidental expense of the proceedings. 2. That the law firm of Klrkbride, Wilson, Harzfeld & Wallace, San Mateo, California, be, and they are hereby, appointed and employed to do and perfor~ all legal services required in the conduct of said proceedings, including the preparation of all papers not required to be prepared by the Engineer, examining and approving the engin- eering documents and advising the Engineer in the preparation of his work, advising all City officials on all matters relating thereto when called upon, and furnishing their legal opinion on the validity of said proceedings and bonds, and that their compensation be, and it is hereby, fixed'at two per cent (2%) of the costs of the acquisitions and improvements, exclusive of incidentals, together with reasonable fees for services in acquiring easements or in eminent domain or other suits, to be assessed as an incidental expense of said proceedings. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 18th day of May, 1959, by the following vote: AYES, NOES, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G.
